MK6 Climatic heater controls retrofit!!!!!
Electrics Part 2
Very few parts here...
We reinstalled the glovebox, the radio and various things we didn't need removed from the car.
Careful soldering...
heat shrinking...
Let's do the next one...
We connect everything, mount everything in their positions and let's do the codingg!
Have you ever seen so much red?!!!! I feel fine with everything showing red, but the driver's door?! Eh?!
Basically this red happened because I switched on the car with the instrument cluster missing... so, yes, everything turned...red!
We erase all the faults but the one on the AC remains...
We got two faults: The first one basically says the "new" motor does not work. Actually, it does not move, in any direction, no matter into which position we turn the right AC switch...
The second fault, after doing some reading, we realize it relates to the instrument cluster. some say that with a big red MFA (which then I didn;t have), there would be no fault showing (it still remains after I changed the cluster with a 874 with big red MFA).
Others say it's looking to read "something" from a MK6 instrument cluster. Anyway, it's not serious, neither does it hamper the Climatic's operation, or the car's in general...
So, let's have a look at the new AC's coding:
The "new" module...
Is already coded...
Let's see what's further in the coding...
Byte 0
Byte 1
Byte 2, the upper field...
Byte 2, the lower field. Hmmm... I have a sunroof... where and how would I declare it to the AC? Why don't the other modules tell this one that I have a sunroof?!
Byte 3. Should I tick the RoW?
Byte 4. Here, the 2 is ticked already and it doesn't change. (In John's MK6 however, the whole coding is full of zeros!!!)
Let's see what we can do in Adaptation...
Finally, the basic settings...
We did this Flap end stop... "something" moved somewhere under the dashboard but NOT this servomotor...
Now we have to find out why the motor is not working!
