ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ!

whatever I do here, I do on my own motorcycle and I take responsibility for it, my own motorcycle!

If you decide to do something along these lines and break/disarm/annihilate/exterminate your motorcycle, it's totally your own responsibility!

So, as clearly as this can be said: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE for your damages!!!!

Heed gearbox protection!

After some thorough late night discussions with friends who know a lot better than poor ole me, I decided to take the plunge and add the Heed gearbox protectors!
These are supposedly protecting the gearbox in case the bike falls, transferring the pressure of the fall on the gearbox casings, or even in case of a jump happenning somehow. Not that I am too heavy for this, but then again, why not have a little extra security!
I said "supposedly" because it has not happened to me YET! However, there is proof to this all over the forums and discussions everywhere in the world. Let's just say it's a very good investment for the bike and for my own peace of mind as well!

We bought direct from the site. Heed sent the package very quickly, complete with two sheets of instructions.
This is the left side protector.

The instructions, in words and photos are very analytical!

Using only the bike's tools we did it in less than an hour (inxcluding photos!)

Left side as it was...
Make sure to mark somehow where each bolt came from. They are not all the same size. Also, notew which bolts had washers.
Somehow the washers provided with the Heed kit are wider, so they will not fit inside the cavities! I re-used the old washers where they were already installed.

Footrest removed...

Make sure that you tighten everything completely before going to the other side. (Also written in the instructions. Take a couple of minutes and READ them!)

Mounting the left side protector

Left side done!

Right side protector with bolts.

Right side, test fitting.

All set!
