March 23, 2002. Meteora TrailRide

On the way to Meteora. A spectacular geological phenomenon of Greece, dating a few million years back. The place is located about 450km north of Athens. The weather forecast was quite bad, saying things like "extreme meteo things to happen". Truth is the rain kept us company all the way to Lamia, (for more than half of the journey), but then it opened up, and we had some nice warm sun to be our partner for the afternoon ride.

Upon arrival we settled at our nice hotel, at Kastraki and drove to the campsite of Moto Magazine, only to find out the guys were already long gone into the trails. So, we found the trail and rode alone, our small company of five, Marisa being the passenger to the DR600. Thanks to her, we had some really good pics, too!

We had a small spill... no victims, we found some small rivers to cross and get our toes wet, and then a sandy riverbank to play. Even sheperd dogs hunted us away from their ship herds!!!

Someone said it was God's own playground. True!
