0-300 Trailride. March 31, 2002

One more greatly organized TrailRide by 0-300 magazine and the SYMOFE Club. This time it was near Chalkida, about 90km north of Athens. Our party was 5 people, the usual suspects (me-KTM, Epi-XT600, Andreas DR650, Alexandros-DR600 Dakar, Costas-DR250 Djebel). This time our company was fast and competitive, and we were doing a good progress! Until disaster strike: Epi's kickstarter broke. We lost about 2 hours trying to push start the XT in the muddy soggy and oh-so-wet trail.

A special mention must be made to "Doc" of 0-300 magazine, who came to help/rescue, aboard his brand new WR250F. Remember this man is National Champ in Enduro and Supermotard too. However, he didnt hesitate to push start our XT or even get into the mud for us (Pic Mar31_06). Thanks Doc!

Anyway, after the XT was started, and having all of us been wet right down to our socks, we decided to quit there. We rode the asphalt back to where we had parked the cars and trailers and drove back home.

Special marks go to the DR250 which everyone who rode it gave it superb remarks!

Having used the trailers and loaded the bikes quite a lot, the last few weeks, it was really a matter of seconds, really to load the DR600 in the middle of my trailer, between the KTM and the DR250. Experience counts!
