Cleaning the Baja... again!

The damage report after the bash was quite minimal: Apart from a very very dirty Baja, there was a lower motor bolt missing, along with the concave washer. After washing the Baja, I noticed the front wheels did funny noises and were hard to spin.

So, the inner ball bearings were both seized (a little WD40 took care of that). Later, I removed the clutch holder and inspected the bearings: Both are still very smooth in operation. The rear wheel ball bearings are still holding strong.

I recharged both the transmitter batteries and the car 1500mah battery pack: We played for 82 minutes on one tank. Practically we almost starved. The receiver pack took 1100mah on the Orion Advantage charger! Five minutes more of bashing, we would have emptied that one as well!

Back home, it was obvious the Baja needed some TLC!

Notice the missing bolt that should hold the engine to the chassis. The ProtectaBaja did an excellent work of protecting the engine and the underside of the car.
Hosed it down lightly and then used toothbrushes and medium brushes to clean what mud was there.
