The building of the kit

Friday morning, after another 3 hours we're here at last!!! One of my biggest fears: The throttle/brake adjustment. You see this car does not have an ELECTRONIC Speed control!!! It's all mechanical!!! Lunch break, before we do the shocks and wheels/tires...

Our trusty Futasba FF3 (T3UCP), a 1989 vintage model. It's as modern as it can be today, with 6 model memories and PCM which means it can use its own internal failsafe system. Very handy with such a BIG car!

We built the shocks using Eddy's tips and they ended up being very very smooth working! Jason tries to fight me; He won, of course! Oops... a long one and a short one! How did I mess these up?!!

My friend Pavlos arrived right before lunch, so after we ate, he was tasked with the most boring work: Fix the wheels and tires, while we did the shocks!

We took the build on the veranda table. It had lots more lighting! It is sunny! And hot, too! Ouch!

Oooops... how do you handle this heavy thing?!

Here... let me help you!

Oh... okay now! But be quick with that camera! It's heavy!

A well deserved laugh! We made it! Kudos to Jason, my son for being very very helpful. He even made his part of shocks a bit better than me, so I was forced to rebuild mine!!!

What followed... was the running in of the new buggy!
