This is where we chose to have lunch, after leaving Edessa, and heading west.

Its a small traditional village, called Nymfaio, situated on top of mount Askio, at a height of about 1627m.


On the way up, we stop at a rest area, and below us are two small lakes: Zazari and Himaditis.


The traditional village of Nymfaio has a small peculiarity: No cars allowed in it! So you have to walk!


Right across the parking lot of the village is this lovely restaurant. Home made cooking anyone?!


On the way down, one more look at the lakes, and the flatland of Ptolemais.
next stop is Kastoria, which unfortunately we visited at an evening time, so no pics from this beautiful city. However we have a FEW from Meteora!
