...Manolates Village... not so high above the sea... ONLY 900 meters (about 2700ft, above sea level)!
We had been told one of the best taverns there is Loukas' Tavern... so we duly followed orders...
The view from the Manolates village parking lot, towards the sea, is really amazing, as was the view alongside the (once again!) almost vertical paved road!
We have been told, Loukas' tavern was the last building of the village, and at the highest point... so... we start walking uphill, of course... once again!
oh... a sign! So... we're close?!
ATLASTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!! This is the place!
and a nice place indeed!
Okay Mrs Loukas! We are HUNGRY!
And, of course, no lunch is complete in Samos island, without the proper revithokeftedes (minced-pea-balls?)
in the afternoon, a short visit to Psili Ammos beach (That's "Thin Sand" for all you wannabe Greeks!).
