Okay! I'm egoistic one more time! I made it to Col de La Bonette. The highest road made of asphalt in the whole Europe! Count it: 2860 meters! (that's about 9400 ft!)

Just besides the height... there's abyss! It's there that you realize that even Danny's R1100RT (partly shown here) is a SMALL motorcycle!

Here we stand me and Caratz, and the bicyclist is happily going downhill!
Later, on our way down from Col de La Bonette, we are all stuck behind a bus on the very narrow almost-two-lanes road. Some people are a bit braver than others, like those two guys on the Ducati 996 and the Yamaha R1, who passed each of us, slowly and carefully, I admit. But... the bravest was the bicyclist who overtook EVERYONE, quickly and steadily, and was on the tail of the Ducati for some time, until he overtook the Ducati, finally, TOO! Talk about brave people?!

This "combined pics" pic, is only trying to show the magnitude of the heights. On our way up we came from the top right road, you can barely see there.

and the obligatory pic we had to take of course! All of us there at La Bonette!

You can see the weirdest things up there... like a Corvette convertible!

Finally... we are down to earth, at water heights!

While we were lost in the scenic routes... (who cares, anyway? They were so fantastic!)... Danny managed to pick a huge "fried chicken" in his cylinder fins!!!!

At Hotel Le Panoramic, at Pra Loup, we also found David and his wife, visiting all the way from California!

we spent two days in Le Panoramic... one of these in the pool!

Next morning we are leaving Pra Loup, heading down to Lac de Ste Croix...

Amazingly... hummm okay... we were quite too lazy to visit Le Grand Canyon du Verdon, so we just stopped for a cup of coffee (yes, Capuccino, for me, again!) near the lake!

next was the flatlands of Provence
