Days 8 and 9: August 11 and 12, 2007
Venezia to Igoumenitsa and then to Athens
The first part was done by ANEK ferry in 24 hours. On Sunday morning we disembarked at Igoumenitsa and we... split. I took the fast road home: 490km in 5 hours almost nonstop! I was homesick!

Bye bye Venezia!
Statistically, the Minoan ferry left Venezia one hour later and arrived at Igoumenitsa one hour earlier!
During the first few miles inside the canals of Venezia, the boat is being towed so as not to disturb the buildings with waves.
