My Second Bike! A 1981 Kawasaki KL250

The MX track in Schimatari... Circa 1981! An afternoon in the track right after the races...

In the rural Dilesi... This is 1982... The bike has brand new rear Koni shocks and Metzeler MX tires!

Unbelievable what a normal bike can do...

Travels up to 200kms were feasible... After that... you needed some rest!

In Schimatari, once again!

Kawasaki KL250 The most memorable bike and the one with the most dirt use of all my bikes! I regret I did not race enduros with this bike; I actually never raced enduros, while with this one, I came close to do it! It was bought new in Sept. 1981, and it cost me 2000drs more than a then-new Honda XL250S, the one with the 23in front wheel! The Kawasaki lasted with me for 45000 kms, before I sold it going up a click for a 600cc bike...
Next came the 1984 Honda XL600R...
