Skoda Octavia Combi 4X4 ABT

Το πράμα είναι 06/2001, έχει 43400 χλμ, μισό (πλαστικό) δάσος στο ταμπλώ, (κιτς στα όργανα, και παρόλο που οι γυναίκες του σπιτιού λένε ότι έχει class, ξέρει κανείς πως φεύγει/ξεκολλάει?!), έχει full service history, ατρακάριστο, λάστιχα Bridgestone Potenza RE720 205/60-15 (μαμά φοράει 195/65-15, άντε βρές άκρη γιατί βάλανε 60άρια! Από το 2003 και μετά, μαμά φοράει 205/55-16), έχει τσίπωμα ΑΒΤ (πάει τον α$$ του!) και γενικά είναι σαν καινούριο!

Αναρτησιακά είναι συμπαθητικό, γερνει λίγο, αλλά στρίβοντας με λέει μαλάκα!!!!! Οι μνήμες από τα μούτρα του Punto όταν τούρμπιζε, δεν ξεχνιώνται! Απ' την άλλη, έχει ένα τιμόνι με ΜΗΔΕΝ πληροφόρηση, και είναι επικίνδυνο: Επιασα τον εαυτό μου δυό φορές να ανεβαίνω Λ. Πεντέλης με 130-140 (!!!) ακούγοντας τη μιά Jethro Tull, και τη δεύτερη Dire Straits... χαλαρός, τσιγαράκι, με το ένα χέρι στο τιμόνι, τ'άλλο στο ακουμπιστήρι στη μέση... άνετος... το clima δροσίζει την αφεντιά μας... Γέρασα?! Είναι άνετο πάντως... φίλτρο λακουβών... και με αυτά τα 60άρια λάστιχα, Θεός! Γέρασα είπες?!!!

Καλορίζικο, ευχαριστώ, και... ήδη δοκίμασα τον... κοτσαδόρο... Α! το Blaupunkt είναι για... πέταμα! 8 στα 10 CD μου τα πετάει με "cd error"!!!! Κάνα MP3όφωνο με μέχρι 200 ευρά, κανείς?!!!!!

Το πιό ψυχοπλακωτικό είναι η στιγμιαία κατανάλωση... Ξεκινώντας νορμάλ με μισό γκάζι κλπ., βλέπεις ίσαμε 42 λίτρα/100χλμ!!!! Βέβαια, στα 24 χλμ που έκανα σήμερα αφού το μηδένισα, έγραψα ένα αξιοπρεπές 9.9 λ/100χλμ... (μέση). Φυσικά έχω γυρίσει την οθόνη πολλαπλών ενδείξεων στο... ρολόι! Α σιχτιρ με την κατανάλωση!

The thing was first registered in June 2001, it has 43400 km, half (plastic) forest wood on the facia (it's a bit kitsch around the gauges and despite the women of my home saying it adds class, does anyone know how the heck it can be unstuck/unglued?!), it has a full service history, never crashed, Bridgestone Potenza RE720 205/60-15 tires (OEM tire size should be 195/65-15, as of 2003 it has 16in. wheels with 205/55 tires, go figure!), it's got an ABT chip worth an extra 43HP (in short it goes like the wind!) and in general it's like new!

Suspension-wise it's tolerable, it leans a bit, but when deep in turns, it says to me "is that all you can give me?!"!!! My recent memories of the Punto GT are well written into my... driving DNA, which would just go straight in turns if it caught you unaware! On the other hand, it has a steering with ZERO communication and it is quite DANGEROUS: I cought myself twice going up in Pentelis Avenue at 130-140km/h (!!!) listening to a Jethro Tull cd on the first time, while it was Dire Straits the second time around... cool, easy, a cigarette in one hand, the other hand just touching the steering, ... the clima was making for a lovely atmosphere inside the car... Am I getting old?! Despite all this, it's filtering road irregularities impressively well, and feels like God with these 60-ratio tires! Am I getting old or what?!

Have a nice trip etc and... oh... I already tried the towbar! Oh, the Blaupunkt is to go to the dump! On 8 out of 10 cd's it reads it says "cd error"!!! Anyone knows of a decent MP3 player priced up to 200 euros?!!!!

The worst and also soul frightening thing is instant consumption... Starting normally from a stoplight, you know, half throttle etc, you see a momentary 42 l/100km!!! Of course, in the first 24 km's I drove today, after I reset the odo, I wrote a very decent 9.9 l/100km (avg). Of course I have the trip computer screen turned to the... clock! The heck with the consumption! I don't want to know!
