Sunday morning, we are awakened to a glorious sunny day. What best than do a tour around Samos island?! :-)
First of all... we need some coffee... so, we sat at on of the many cafe's at the port of Pithagorio, "watching the boats float", as the old greek saying goes! Here are some of them!

Next we head west, towards Karlovasi, once again, (remember its the port through which i set foot on Samos). Destination: 3 miles west of Karlovasi, the small village of Potami (River).
The signs lead you to thoughts...
There's this ancient little church, and a small river flowing, which supposedly has some waterfalls.

...and then... you start walking the trail, alongside the water... (some TWO miles!)
...how do you call it... peace of mind?! This is the place!

moooooooooooother! I'm faaaaaaaaaaaaalling!
(no... i didn't end in the water! phew!)

At what seemed the end of the trail... there was this almost vertical climb going up, up... somewhere... supposedly close to the waterfalls...
However, my friend went all the way to the top, and didn't find them. I was a bit scared, so...
... I stopped climbing at about 25ft or 6 meters high! :-)
but the view even from there, was astonishing!

on the way back to Karlovasi, one more stop for a quick snap!

you can bet we were hungry by this time, after all that trail walking and climbing...
so, as a friend had suggested we went to.... ->
