All the bikes outside the Ibis Hotel, at Nice, ready for yet another "Nice by Night".

Our guides, once again, will be Daniel and Ann, this time aboard their Kawasaki GPz900R (heretics, among a bunch of BMW crazies?! hehehe!)

At a stoplight... I managed to take this pic! Actually... the stoplight was too lazy to turn to green! Aboard the two GS's are Kate and Paul, on the left, and Duner on the right one.

Something very nice, again in the old city of Nice. (Anyone knows what it is? please tell me!

The fountains in one of the places were fantastic by night!

One last laugh, before we head to the hotel and a resting night before saying goodbyes the next morning...

Finally... I made it out of France. But what a way to go!
10.30 am. We are all leaving the hotel. 50meters down the street, I stop at the local TOTAL gas station to refuel.
10.35 am I realize my battery is dead.
10.35 am I call the greek road assistance service.
11.30 am the local Help! road service man, with his Landcruiser jeep gives me power.
12.30 pm I manage to find my way to Moto DesChamps, the BMW dealer. I find them CLOSING down for Lunch! Now what? "We open again at 2pm, come again".
I spend the afternoon at a nearby cafe, bike parked outside Moto DesChamps, fully loaded... (ouch!)
14.00 pm The mechanic smiles, he says... "I told you yesterday, that your battery was dying. But I need 3 hours to charge a new battery for you. Come again at 5 pm" he says...
17.00 pm I'm back, unload everything, install the new battery, reload everything on the bike.
17.30 pm I'm on the road at last.
One short stop outside Monaco... and right after that, the heavens open and shower me good, all the way to Genova!

Almost at Piacenza, and the rain finally stops! Thanks to my new raingear I'm completely dry, though! At 10 pm I set foot at the local Holiday Inn. Enough for the day!

The next morning, I will easily do the last 300 or so km remaining, to go to Ancona, and take the Superfast IV ferry back to Greece.
One last GREEK cup of coffee (notice, it's on the barrier!) and then a quick dash to Ancona. Pic taken just outside Imola.

What you missed of this story... here it is :-)
